Connecting Microsoft products to processes

TBA was implementing standard ERP components including financial, inventory and warehouse management modules. During this process EasyStep2 proved to be a partner that could do more than just deliver licenses. They were quite good at linking Microsoft products to the business processes of TBA.

Linking Business Central via EDI

That skillset proved to be fortuitous. Neil: "While the implementation of Business Central was ticking along, we signed a deal with Carrefour. There was a catch. They demanded that all transactions were processed through EDI. That is understandable. If you work with thousands of suppliers, you don't want to be on the phone with them all day. You want all these transactions to happen smoothly through IT.” In short, TBA had to link Business Central through EDI.

EasyStep2 can implement EDI

TBA had not previously used EDI. EasyStep2 had expertise in this field. They offered to help. Setting up the connection turned out to be quite a challenge. Carrefour only offered a specification of their EDI. They did not have people available to offer support via telephone or videocall. EasyStep2 had to get the interface working purely on the basis of the specification.

EasyStep2 is good at what is does and works at competitive rates. Thanks to their solution our relationship with Carrefour is starting to pick up very nicely. The EDI interface for Business Central currently processes 1,000 orders a week.”

Business Central will easily handle expanding demand

Ultimately, TBA wants to increase the number of orders from Carrefour to 2,000 per week. Parallel to this, negotiations are underway to sell another 2 or 3 Okami Bio products to Carrefour. By working with Business Central, TBA can easily handle expanding demand. Neal: "I am convinced that we can scale our solution. But even if that turns out to be difficult, I know who I can turn to for help.”
